How does booking on Planera work?
Search by event type, guests, date and emirate. Open a venue to see photos, real capacity and prices, then either Reserve — no charge to hold the date, or Request a quote and the venue's team will reply (usually within 2 hours).
What does "Reserve — no charge" actually mean?
We hold the date for you. Your card is used to confirm the booking but isn't charged — payment happens at the venue, on their terms, just like a hotel room hold. You can cancel within the venue's policy without a penalty.
How long does a quote take?
Most venues reply in about 2 hours during business hours, often faster. Each venue lists its typical response time on its page so you know what to expect.
How does full-day vs half-day pricing work?
Pick a date and choose Full day, Half day — Morning, or Half day — Evening. Half-day rates are typically around 60% of the full-day price. If both halves of a day are already taken, that day is shown as fully booked.
Can I filter for halal-only or ladies-only venues?
Yes. The filter rail has a Cultural & requirements group with halal-only, ladies-only and alcohol-licensed venues. The popular intents under the search bar are shortcuts to the same filters.
Is there a fee to use Planera?
No — searching, reserving and requesting quotes are free for event planners. Venues pay Planera a small commission only on confirmed bookings.
Which emirates do you cover?
We're live across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah with 189 verified venues today. Umm Al Quwain is on the roadmap.
I run a venue — how do I list it?
Use the Admin Portal to add venues, upload photos and floor plans, set full- and half-day rates, and manage inquiries. Listing is free to get started.
What if I need to cancel?
Each venue sets its own cancellation policy — it's shown on the venue page before you reserve. For a no-charge reservation, cancellations within the policy window don't cost you anything.
